The face of the piston has four holes that engage a special tool to screw in the piston. Dealers have them as do some parts chainstores. You can also make your own with a piece of metal and two small bolts to grab two of the holes, or even use a snap ring pliers or bent needle nose pliers. Once you have turned in the piston, you will be able to get one of the pads in. If you can't get the outer pad in even by prying the yolk with a big screwdriver/tire iron, your caliper piston is frozen and it's time for new calipers.
