Errrr... Stupid rad bleeder valve broke! Advice

Yesterday in the downpouring rain I was trying to drain the coolant system of my safety flush after getting the engine back together the day before. There I was getting soaking wet getting that freaking huge 24mm deep socket on the bleeder valve to close, everything was drained, and I guess from jossling that big freaking socket around too much in that small space in that downpouring rain in that bending over position THE BLEEDER VALVE BROKE IN HALF! SOB, it snapped right where the threads end, luckily it broke in the closed position b/c I had to drive back to Phila in two hours from then. Has anyone had this happen to them? How do you get the remains out, it snapped flush? The nozzle is plastic too. I was thinking of using a screw extractor but the hole in the valve is pretty big.
