I wish you would have seen my thread here a month ago. Unfortunately, at that time, your focus was more on deciding between the '91 red SPG and the Black SiS. The rear leg of the lower left control arm snapped just outboard of the bushing connection, while I was backing out of my driveway.
If you haven't already towed it to your local shop, do your best to get it back in your driveway and try fixing it yourself. If it's already at the shop, be sure to tell them that you'll be supplying the new control arm, and get the scanwest arm on order. My shop wanted to charge me $210 for the Saab part that just failed.
Don't fret! It happens to most of us sooner or later. You still bought the right car!
