It's about 3 hrs shop labor per side.
Check out Jeff Cunningham's site and Townsand Motors' site. They both have very good write-ups. One thing Jeff leaves out is draining the final drive before removing the driver.
Advice I would give is if the balljoints and tierods are hurting, do them at the same time. On the '88 900S I just did, I had to do pretty much everything on the passenger side (CV joint, wheel bearing, inner driver, tripod bearing), driver's side only needed inner driver. But, because I did the balljoints and tierods last fall, they came right apart (unlike the first time).

Be thorough, and do what needs to be done because you have to take the whole drivetrain apart anyway.
