My 1988 8-valve n/t has a seriously low idle (at best, around 500-600rpm) problem. I've recently replaced plugs, wires, distr cap and rotor, and aux air valve. I've cleaned throttle body completely. Now, about 2 years ago my car failed emissions. I took it to my Saab repair guy who sent me down the road to a "foreign" car repair facility (mostly Mercedes and BMW). The guy there adjusted something (mixture?) on the fuel distributor. He told me that it might idle lower. Whatever, it got me thru inspection. Now we don't have inspections anymore and I'd really like to get the idle back up. Is this something I can do myself?
TIA
