Erik,
Here's what should happend when you jumper 87 and 30. The fuel pump should turn on and there should be a buzzing NOT a clicking by the Lambda valve mounted on the left fender. Here's the test procedure I'd recommend.
- remove the injectors
- jumper 87 and 30 and while watching the injectors. If they give a little
squirt then you have a problem.
- remove the rubber boot on top of the fuel distributor.
- with 87 and 30 still jumpered lift that air mass sensor plate and watch the spray patterns. If the fuel pattern coalesces and doesn't have a nice conical pattern then you have a problem. The movement of the air mass sensor plate should be very smooth and shouldn't bind at all.
- lower the sensor plate, turn off the pump, and watch the tips of the injectors for leakage.
- replace the injector seals and reinstall.
Good luck
Todd
