How do I know if ball joints, pwr steering pump are bad

steering wheel is shaking left to right, more visible @ slow speeds. Wheel shakes at high speeds. pwr steering res. empty and drove 30 miles? A strong pull to thr left. leaking oil from pwr steer pump, above non- high
pressure hose. ???
