I'm in the middle of doing my clutch and am replacing the rear main seal. I probably should have left it alone, because it didn't appear to be leaking. But, I figured I was in there, and I had the new seal... So out it came. Now I'm trying to install the new one by the "tap-in" method. So far, it's been the hardest part of this clutch job. I finally got it in, but can't seem to get it flush with the housing. It sticks out maybe 1/16". Is this ok? I'm about ready to just bolt the flywheel back on and hope for the best. Please help!
Thanks,
Ken 88' 900 8v n/t 190k
