lubricating the front doors

About every oil change or every other one, I put as tiny a drop I can on the upper front door hinges. Now, after 12 years, the door squeeks. I think it's because I never lubricated the lower hinge. How do you do it.
The manual says to use an oil dropper through the hole in the body above the lower hinge and below the rubber bellows. I used a flashlight, but my head is too big that I can't see anything. I used a pencil to dip into oil and blindly stick it into the hole with no luck. I then used the same pencil and touched the part of the hinge I can see (not through the hole).
It's a little better but not perfect. Any advice what to do with the hole?
