They are of course identical from the a-pillars back. The 99 has a much shorter nose tho, so the wheel wells intrude into the cabin. This makes for a rather narrow floor pan (altho the natural dead pedal is nice). The design of the 900's long nose allowed the wheel wells to be moved forward away from the cabin, which made the 900's footwell area much wider and deeper than the 99. The larger footwell area allowed the seats to be placed farther apart, adding to the impression of space.
