the 89 turbo ragtop i paid 2700 for is going well, it's what i call a decent-looking "user" car....nice outside, fair inside...heck, i gota big dog, 2 kids, it needs to be less than perfect....anyway, after replacing a cracked downpipe, replacing both e-brake cables and adjusting them, and replacing a bad brake lite switch and rev light switch, she's a neat lil car.....
where do these cars lose their "tonneau" covers anyway? is that just the first thing that gets lost, or what?
and who the hell can help me remember the right way to reinstall my driver's seat....got it all wierd on the shifter side, like i don't think the tab is really latched below the 2 posts....if you can imagine what the hell I'm talking about..i got p.o.'ed and just bolted the front rail in and said "screw it for now"....feel like such a loser for forgetting how the hell to do that....evryone's telling me "look how easy it is" blah blah...
but hey, the car runs nice, and it's got a transplanted 92 turbo in it. does this vintage of 900 motor take just as kindly to APC updates/FPR updates as the older pre-90's motors? i know that's kinda dumb thing to ask, but the really dumb questions are the ones you don't ask...actually, for me this is almost like having a brand new car,and the thing i JUST bought....a multifuel deuce, Kaiser Jeep 1970...will really sit well next to all the SAABs..
random 900 thoughts from Jack Handey..
