My job did take 3 days. I put stuff together at the end of each day so that was my biggest amount of time I wasted. I don't know what the deal was but my the alarm but it would not work with the dome light part. I installed the entire system and then had problems with it not arming - part of my problem is I did not have instructions. Well anyway instead of useing the dome light to make the alarm go off I ended up putting in switchs in each door and trunk and hood. It was a big job (4 door). I had to fish the wire down the door vertical braces. I am patiant and love working on cars so I did not mind.

As far as cutting up wires on my car I think I only cut about 3 of my wires in my car and spliced it in with the new wires. On the drives side lock I put a motor (got one from the junk yard $15-20) powered by the passangers side wireing that i taped into and strung to the other side. I put this next to the switch and put a wire that would hook up to the original switch that the key controls when you want to open the door with a key. I did it this way so I could still control the entire car's lock system from my inside drives side lock as well as with a key if my battery in my remote went dead. When stringing wire I put it with the groop of wires that runs parellel with the dash.

In my opinion if you can put in a car stereo you can do a alarm. As far as the starter kill goes there are two ways to wire. I pulled the wire off the silinoid and hooked to the relay and back to the silinoid. If you want to do it right... unscrew the plastic cover by the ingnition. pull the wire that is Yellow. This is the starter. To be shure you got the right wire try to start the car with the quick connect disconnected. - easy as 123. Well easy for me to say as I have all ready done one. - Email me if you have questions.
