You can pull off the knee pad by pulling out the screw behind the ash tray. There are two aditonal bults on the inside of the hood. Both are about 8" below the top of the hood and against the firewall. - They are 10mm - I think (whatever size the one under the ash tray is)
There is the black plastic portion of the dash - this is held in place with one screw on each side and 2 additonal screws inside the heater vent on that plastic piece. There is one more screw on the middle of the plastic piece. (i think it is under the knee pad.)
After you finish this you will see smack in the middle of the car a large black box. Pull the four screws - may be more but my car in put together right now and I am working off memory of when I did a heater core about 1 year ago. There should be some defrost hoses sticking out the sides - you can remove these too. After you pull off this cover you will see the heater core.
Pull off the hose clamps, both the supply and return - right next to the a/c compresser and pully- this is connected to the firewall. I think my memory is about expired... Um just some CAREFULL rotating and carefull removeing to keep from braking andything around that area.
Hope that helps - For additonal info look at the Robert Bently manual
