An '86 or '85 isn't worth the while if you're used to a 'good' '91. Yours has the new headlights. If they have anything like MOT in Ireland, the old type headlights are going to be a problem sometime. The reflectors inside wear out. Also, and more important, your '91 has a tougher gearbox. The 16v you're looking at should have a new tranny already, if not, don't buy. Another thing about '85's you can read about here is bad wiring. This is fixed in the '86. Frankly I prefer the 8v over the 16v to work on, as they're simpler, but that may be because I can't afford the 16v. Of course the 16v is a better and stronger engine. To be quite honest, I advise you to pass on both cars. This is hard, because turbos are so much more car, but please keep in mind that to trade a '91 for an '85/86 is a very very bad deal.
