I recently had to remove the driver's seat from my '86 900S in order to work on wiring underneath the center console. When I got the seat back in place I discovered that I can't get the seat cushion to adjust down properly in the rear. What happens is that the left side goes up and down as it should on the leaf spring and will engage the notch for the lower position, but the right side just doesn't want to budge no matter how the adjuster is set or how hard I push down on the seat cushion. I've also tried taking the seat back out and putting it back in, but that didn't do any good.
One of the problems with these cars is restricted hat room due to the sunroof. Unless the seat cushion is adjusted down there is no room for a six footer to wear a fedorah. So until I can get this thing to adjust properly I have to go hatless.
Any tips on how to get this adjustment working properly?
