I just spent 2 hours upgrading to the later 9000 brakes. After thinking I was all done with the job, I began driving the car home. However, I kept hearing a bad grinding noise ONLY when the wheel was turned all the way to the right.

This had me perplexed for a little while. I couldn't reproduce the noise in the garage at all. The car had to be on the ground and rolling.

I finally found the problem after removing the caliper 3 times and taking a look around. It turns out that the caliper bolt was missing the washers, and it was just long enough to hit the rotor.

I still haven't figured out why the grinding only happened when the wheel was turned right. But, it's all gone now!
