Hey Randy.
Prob. 1: I un-scientifically call this "seasonal Saab disorder". Sometimes when there are big temp swings or great contrast from cold night to warm morning I'll get some idle lope. In my cases I've considered the ntc sensor, but it tests ok still. Could be one of the hundreds of AMM oddities developed with age. As I think about it, I'm no help on this one...
Prob. not a prob. 2: My SPG idle was uneven in the range you state. A new o2 sensor smoothed it out. If yours is new, then clean the AIC better. I soaked mine with carb cleaner and a toothbrush until I could shake it by hand and hear the internal flapper move around.
No.3: For comparison, I have an 82C t-stat and a 92C fan switch (89C was too close in range and ran all the time in summer). General running in 70F or less weather my needle is at 1/3. Hot weather like the past few days its at 2/3 with fans coming on a 3/4. Fans generally turn on after car is shut off during hot soak.
Hope this helps.
