DIY APC tuning is tricky unless you have a thorough grasp of electronics and how the APC system works. It's one of those "if you aren't perfectly sure you can handle it, don't" things. SPG9 (http://www.spg9.com) and Swedish Dynamics (http://www.saabperformanceparts.com) both sell tweaked APC boxes that are a drop-in solution and (I THINK, but you'll have to check) require no further investment to see results (though you'd probably want to get more for more performance). Email Dave at spg9, he'd be happy to discuss it with you.

And don't be afraid to ask questions, that's how you learn. People post here to get and give help, and don't be discouraged by a surly Saaber who doesn't remember he was once a novice as well. But you might want to check the saabnet FAQ page if you think your question might be a common one.
