Hey All,
Ok, so it rained pretty hard last night (we needed the rain down here in Virginia). I got into my car this morning, and as I went to release the parking break, I noticed a good solid inch of standing water in the passenger side floor pan. WTF?
I checked the window and the sunroof. Both closed. There were no wet spots on the head liner or the door panel. No obvious wet marks anywhere, except the inch of water in the floor pan. Driver's side was dry, as was the rest of the car. Really wierd. I'd rather not have the pan rust out, so I'm looking for any advice as to what might have drained rain water into the floor pan.
Where does the drain for the vent in the hood go? It's so congested under there that I couldn't track down the drain. Is this the most likely culprit? Should I poor some water in there to see if the floor pan gets wet again?
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, -Dan
