Piece of cake. Takes 3 minutes
1. Disconnect negative(ground) cable at battery for safety. Technically all you have to do is not turn on ignition, but disconnecting battery prevents andy mistakes.
2. Fully loosen but do not remove torx(T-30?) screws on back of steering wheel.
3. Lift airbag off steering hub and unplug wire connector from back of airbag. Set airbag aside.
4. Remove large 22mm nut from behind wheel...OK, you can stay in the car!!
5. Pull wheel off by wiggling from side to side while you pull. If it's really stuck, put nut back on slightly, so when you pull hard the wheel will not pop off in your face.
6. Once wheel is off, be careful not to turn the contact wire cartridge. It should remain centered. The wire inside is for the airbag contacts and is just enough to wind/unwind lock to lock. If you twist this ring around by accident, turn it carefully from lock to lock and count the total turns and recenter before installing wheel.
