Hi all...

One of our 900's has a wee problem. The starter wiring had been tampered with and altered by the previous owner.. and only God knows what they had done. They have inserted an extra relay (mounted to the wheel well next to the exhaust manifold - presumably to get over a problem they had with the original wiring), and now that the current wiring loom has burnt out - I have to replace it all. I bought another loom, which routes from a 3-way plug near the fuse box, on to the alternator, continuing on to the temp swiches, and then down around the front of the transmission housing and finally ends up at the starter solenoid. This is where all the extra wiring had been extented and connected to this darned extra relay....

Question is: There are three wires out of the end of the loom - RED (which obviously goes to the positive post on the solenoid... and two others - a green (with spade connector attached), and a black (chopped off by the bone yard). There are two spade connectors on the back of the starter solenoid - and I can't see the markings at all.... the Bentley suggests two connections on the solenoid (other than positive) - can anyone please help and tell me which connections these two wires go to????? Do they both go to the solenoid's two spade connectors? I know one does, but the wiring on the older loom is a different colour scheme which makes it difficult.

Cheers and many thanks....
