I just got a 1993 Saab 900s for $1300. I think that deal was really good. There are the only problems I could find after working on it and driving it.
1. P/S Leak - from hose
2. Needs brakes
3. Needs Tires
4. Tranmission grinds - Not bad but I think a sincro is going.

--When I shift with high RPM it will grind. I have the problem from 1st to 2nd
--My dad has the problem sometimes from 3rd to 4th
--My friend who is a 9000 driver has it when shifting down to 2nd.
--Clutch is fully depressed each time and it grinds with the clutch against the floor. Other than that the transmission feels fine.

I was shifting and was getting it shift without grinding when driving with car and easeing the shifter into position.

When I got the car it did not have any transmission fluid. I added 2.5 qts.

I am new to Saab Manual tranmissions. Let me know If you have info I did not consider. I do have a spare tranmission from a 89 900.

Here are some pictures too.

Tell me if I am wrong but I think it is the sincro.

By the way the History Channel video is cool - I am watching it as I type this question.
