check cap and plug wires. when they are new, they can 'feel' seated, but not be all the way in. i have snapped mine into place numerous times after i thought they were in all the way. make sure they are seated home on the plugs, cap, and coil.
by irratic idle, what do you mean? racing? high idle? dying/stumbling? if the idle seems weak (i.e. stumbling) then i would suspect ignition.
if idle is high, i would suspect vacuum leak. if you are all of a sudden running 22-24 psi, you could have done more than just a vacuum hose. check all boots and their associated hose clamps. make sure they are tight. do you have clamps on the aic valve and bypass valve hoses at the throttle body? air can leak out around the fitting under boost if not clamped even though they are positioned not to pop off.
coolant wise: when you changed the t-stat, how much did you put in? if you over filled it at all, it will relieve through the cap. if you do not have oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil, then i would not suspect head gasket.
all in all, if you are having idle problems, chances are there is a vacuum leak, somewhere. if you replaced the rubber grommets, check to make sure they are seated right. all the hoses should be zip tied at all connections. any fittings that have hard metal vacuum nipples (i.e. rrfpr) should be checked to make sure they did not cut the hose at the connection. best way is to pressurize each vacuum line with a hand pump to make sure it's holding.
but, the idle thing all depends on what it is doing exactly. btw, what are you doing up so early/late?
