I hate to say it, but sometimes mechanics over look things. For instance, I had a mechanic tell me about a bad wheel bearing, but overlooked a torn inner driver boot. With that many miles, the other things that were replaced probably was good money spent. Maybe you cna buy the parts and have him replace them. Most shops frown on it because they lose money on parts, but you never know. For me, it was like HMO coverage, it took a few tries, but I found the right one. Good luck and hope this helped.
