Thats an excelent sign, my oil too, stays very clean very long. in most engines oil gets dirty only a one significant way. carbon and combustion matirial(basicly the same crap the comes out the exhaust pipe) gets forced past the rings on a power stroke. All engines do this, its called "blow by" and the more worn out the engines are the greater the gaps between the cylinder wall and the piston rings. The more of a gap there is the more combustion material is going to get into the crank case. Air filtration plays a part in this as well, if you have a good air filter that doesnt have leaks or anything it will keep the air going into the combustion chamber relativly clean. if the air filter doesnt fit right or is torn then particals of pollen, dirt, gravel, sand, road debris, ect will make its way into the cylinder and some of that debris will make its way into the oil pan through 'blow by'

its extreemly critical to stay on top of oil changes, once it gets bad enough the oil becomes saturated with dirt and it cannot hold it all. at this point dirt and sludge begins to pack up in small places, and cling to the inside of the engine. This is a severe problem because its not removed when the oil is changed next, its stuck in the motor. then this crap contaminated the new oil as soon as you put it in. and the cycle gets worse and worse untill engine debris gets to the point that it starts disrupting engine operation(clogging oil passages, pump screens, lifters, ect) engine must be rebuilt at this point.
