Ok so what is the hardest way possiable that you could seperate a transmission from engine. Answer... Adam's way.

Ok so I set to work engine pulled - that was easy. Now we start by pulling all the bolts on the transmission plate. Ok done....Easy. Now yank to free it - no not working. ok so we undo the bolt we missed. Ya good idea :-) Well now I get to the fun part. Still not working so I will reading the instructions to see what else I missed. Ow the clutch needs pulled off - ok well that sounds easy. OOPS I DID NOT KNOW YOU NEEDED A CLUTCH SPACER. ---Time for bed - finish tomarrow -- Ow well I bet you can do without that. I tried pounding in nails to act as spacer - but they fell off. Find the 3 hex screws and the fly wheel bolts... done. I will just try useing a large wrench and hammer... ok slave is about ready to pop loose - it is sideways at a really good angle. Now with a quick swift hit of the hammer and there... Ouch. that hurt - hammer claw hits head :-) seriously. Ok so I come in take a shower and get ready for work. I get the idea Ow Saabnet - maybe I can find a thread about this. and what did i find. "spacer tool important". Ok so I make a spacer tool - out of R/C airplane Landing gear wire (5/32") Make it and it works great. Ok so I get the slave back where it goes and now I just pull and a little prying with a screwdriver and there out.

Ok so just a bump on the head (dull pain and good size cut) and about 24 hrs later I get it out. Ok but I still don't have the transmission loose. That is a job for Later....

To be continued when I get it done.

So the real question is how do I seperate the tranny. Is there a bolt under the flywheel that I need to pull off first? I have all of the 16 bolts that go around the gasget undone. any ideas.

I don't want to brake any more body parts --Saab parts are strong--

Thanks
Adam
