If the rotors are old, they can have rusty ridges that will make this noise. Also as RS says, one pad worn at an angle can do this and is easy to miss. Sticky caliper can also cause this at front or rear.
Re ABS light, check brake fluid level and for a bad connection at at the wheel sensor connectors. Also clean all connectors to ABS pump and valve assembly. If that doesn't fix it suspect a bad wheel sensor or pressure switch. There is a troubleshoot sequence in the Bentley manual or a good shop will have the code reader to pin down problem. Make sure ABS pump motor doesn't run after engine is shut off. If so, bad ABS relay. Replace relays (one cheap, one pricey) and hope pump motor has not burned out.
