The piston seal in the MC can leak fluid, while the shaft seal prevents it from actually leaking out where you can see it leak.
Same story when your brake pedal slowly goes to the floor when you're at a stoplight. You don't lose any fluid inventory, so you assume its not 'really' leaking.
Replace MC, since somebody recently said for the price its almost not worth it to rebuild yourself. Besides, sometimes this is due to corrosion inside the cylinder, not just worn seals.
