JB Weld is the best option. That exact same part broke on my '85 and I too could not find a place to get it. I tried epoxy but after a few weeks it just crumbled from the heat. What I actually did was get a brass fitting from Home Depot and it fit perfectly in the hole. It was like an "L" fitting, an elbow, maybe thats what its called. Anyway it fit perfectly, and I put some regular old super glue around the egdes and the superglue worked like a charm. It can take the heat, suprisingly.
Basically, if you are going to try and salvage the broken fitting, build a little mold of JB Weld around it and that should work well. JB Weld is awesome.
