I fixed one like this a few days ago. Check and repair any vacuum leaks. Pay attention to the rubber grommets in the intake manifold, they get contaminated over time and leak air. Clean the inside of the throttle housing with carb cleaner around the throttle butterfly. Make sure the throttle switch is correctly adjusted. You should hear a click when you just open the throttle (with the engine off, standing over the engine compartment).If your sure that all the above is correct, place an ohm meter across the Air mass meter pins 3 and 6. Adjust the screw on the amm between 600 and 800 ohms. this should correct the problem. If not, add 1 bottle of Redline Injector cleaner to your fuel. You should see an improvement as the fuel level goes down.
