BFP = Big F*%#in' Pipe, this time of the 18" hollow steel variety.
Frozen 14mm parking brake adjustment screw access bolts pissing me off (leave it to me to make a simple repair a saga), I headed to the parts shop, looking for some PB Blaster, since the WD-40 hasn't done the trick. Get to the store, $5 a can, bump that! Back to the house and off with the rear wheels. Some annoyed tapping at the bolts with a hammer, then another go with the ratchet, no dice... time to call Dr. Torque... I'm either gonna fix this or have broken calipers... what do I have to lose anyhow; I'm buying new calipers if these bolts won't come out. Off the bench and into the game comes BFP. Careful placement of the socket, weasling in the BFP, and a big "CRACK" later, loose comes the bolt. Unscrew, adjust the 4mm allen screw, reassemble, and repeat on the other side, and BOO-YA! I've got locked rotors at 2 clicks of the lever (was 4).
Proof that even the most amateur of amateur mechanics, along with Saabnet and the BFP, can make dreams come true. Toss in Shaq and Kobe and you've got an NBA title (damn the Lakers).
Thanks for the help mates, much obliged.
