I think if the crank sensor was bad, you'd have nothing. No spark, no start.
Why do you think it can't be the wires? I've had bad wires which gave me much the same problems. Pull the plug cover plate & watch for arcing in the dark.
Throttle position sensor; I doubt it. That only tells the ECU when the throttle is full-closed or full-open. There's no other 'measurement' of the actual position.
Fuel pressure regulator? You say fuel troubles would happen all the time, but really, the FPR has to respond to changes in manifold pressure. Off then on the gas is exactly that: quick changes in manifold pressure.
How old is your oxygen sensor? Often as they get old they give a valid measurement but get very sluggish. This goes back to your statement that the problems happen when conditions are changing suddenly.
I really don't know about the ignition module... I'm guessing it would be all-or-nothing, but I'm not really sure.
