Either hose is fine. pick one that's easiest to get to. When I flush, I just pull one of the hoses off and stick my garden hose nozzle into it. As I recall the prestone "T's" i had sitting around were all too small for the hose, so I'd pull the hose off the nipple to check size, before you cut.
