Clutch Slave Cylinders new and old Posted by RS [Email] (#15) [Profile/Gallery] (more from RS) on Sun, 9 Jun 2002 14:30:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just pulled a slave cylinder from a car in the local boneyard. It's a bit different than the one in my car. The one from the donor looks just like the one in eEuroparts.com picture - it has the rubber bellows, spring, and flat plate at the end. An I correct in assuming that this one is the new style clutch slave?
The one in my '89 doesn't have the bellows but does have a large snap ring on the shaft and a hard cylindrical ribbed plastic piece on the end where it presses on the throwout bearing. I'm assuming that this one is the old style.
I just want to be sure before I open up my new throwout bearing and try to put the whole thing back together.
TIA
