can't find my previous post, but thanks to all those who responded.
several people have posted about strange startup problems maybe they have the same problem i do.
let me explain. my car sometimes won't start, and i discovered that there is a wire that clips onto the starter which if i jiggle it the car starts, or i can start with 'clutch start'.
my mechanic replace the clip but says the wire inside the starter is loose so i have to replace the starter.
when i look at a picture of the starter it is in 'two parts' one has the clips on it and it looks like it can be unscrewed from the rest of the starter - am i right? can i just replace that part?
Online i see there is a starter, starter drive and a starter solenoid, which do i actually need.
thanks in advance to all those wonderful people who have the answers and are so helpful.
