You should be fine. Leaving a car for several months is normally no big deal. The best thing you can do is leave it with a full tank. The problem is that water can condensate in the gas tank, and a little water in the gas will make the car run very poorly. Even if this is the case, I can't imagine it causing any permanent damage. You can also buy products that remove the water from the system, which I believe are largely some variety of alcohol. If the car is left long enough, the gas can varnish which will cause the car to run very poorly and will certainly clog a fuel filter, but this takes more than a few months. My advice is just to fire it up, and if it runs rough then deal with any water in the system.
