will that still indicate a bad gas cap? It smelled worse inside before i changed the fuel pump gasket. And my car did not smell like gas AT ALL prior to this little gasket change/valve reseating.
No empty nipple in site. I will ask the mechanic, I suppose. Old old vacuum hoses. Know the price off hand of full replacements? Sponsors are closed now. Are they really that easy to replace? Know a link? Bentley is not helpful.
I will check the engine mount bracket. But how could changing the head gasket effect the transmission so? Perhaps the mechanic test drove it, and kept forcing it into 5th or something. Now it is hard to find even with the reverse tab pulled. OK. Maybe the bolts are loose. Maybe he did not fasten the head entirely. This guy is so damned organized, but hey, I'll go check.
Thanks RS, I appreciate your presence on this board.
