I've had some experience with those frustrating lights. I had warped holders as metioned and I found a newer one in good shape at wrecking yard. I sill have one that will go on and off so I may try a solder pen. I put small pieces of electrical tape behind the contact pads to make a more snug fit which did help. Why didn't they make the whole part that holds the bulb out of glass or metal so it wouldn't warp? One guy said he was going to wire directly into the bulbs but then how do you change the bulb later. On a different note, if you would like brighter bulbs I was told that you could use #2033 Halogen from Sylvania which will give more light and less heat. If you can fix this instument cluster light problem permanently then you have graduated into the SAAB FIX IT ELITE TEAM. Best, KB.
