Welp, today was more or less a raging success. Dropped the 2-door off at Just Tires (local chain, done business there for years) and inspected the new wheels. Sure enough, ~16lbs just as claimed. Inspected the 5mm spacers and the hub centering rings. As my budget didn't include new tires this time around, I was forced to use what I had in storage, which means Potenza RE910s on the front, and Pilot XGT H4s in back. Crazily, they are both 205/55-16 - I wanted to try these before resorting to the 205/50-16 P7000s I had in there. I drive this car on some pretty terrible roads, and the extra sidewall is appreciated.

All looked good, so I took off.

Came back an hour later to see the 2-door sitting proudly in the parking lot with new wheels and those crazy tires. I was positive that I was going to have problems, but on the drive home there wasn't a one. No rubbing, scraping or random vibrations. Great tracking, and bloody nice handling. The tires never hit the fenders no matter how hard I pushed it. I think I may be the only c900 driver with 205/55-16s on... how nice! :)

Bottom line: $500 before tax.

In terms of looks, I think the wheels suit the car. They're not really flashy, not stunning, but they work. I think they are surprisingly reminiscent of Shelby wheels, but more modern looking. I'm just generally happy that they're 16x7 and quite light. :)

Again, these are Motegi (aka American Racing) MR8, 16x7, 4x4.5" bolt pattern, +42mm offset. I'm using 5mm spacers in back, but not up front, though I may add them in this weekend - after a long drive on some twisty roads.
