Your post provoked me to fix the cruise control that I had been ignoring. At the vaccum pump, I discovered a split hose. I cut off the end, and re-attached it.
Under the dash I discovered that the two short hoses that connect to the clutch and brake pedal switches had split at the end and become unattached. I snipped off the end, and re-attached them.
It works!
The primary annoyance for me was dealing with the black under-dash cover. I found the three screws, but it was still attached in the middle. I figured that it was screwed under the bottom part of the dash, and worked around it. This caused me to take a significantly longer amount of time than I should have.
Never really cared about cruise, but it is nice to have it working since it is there. Perhaps it will help me avoid any tickets until I can afford a Valentine.
Regards,
White Vampire\Rem
