Okay, so it's not the injectors...

I've been keeping you all updated on my smoky '87 900S that keeps fouling its #1 spark plug.
Due to the grey smoke, I thought the car was running too rich on the #1 cylinder, so I switched the #1 and #2 injectors, but the #1 spark plug still fouled right up. I figure, if it is fuel, then the problem must lie with the computer. I picked up a new fuel injection computer (from junkyard) to try, but realized it was from an '89, will it even work if I plug it in my '87?
The smoking has been getting worse. Now, I start the car, let it idle for a minute, and it starts to smoke. I leave the driveway in a huge cloud of smoke, then after driving 1/4 mile or so, there is absolutely no smoking.
The car has 152-4 psi compression across the board, so I thought, if oil was finding its way into the cylinder, maybe it is from the valve guides?
Finally, I've got about $1000 to fix it, can it be done?
Thanks for your input, I understand this is quite a head-scratcher!
