All the auto-down switch has is an extra contact. That means and extra wire out, that runs to a relay not found on other switches. The relay provides the latching feature for the auto-down.
It's more than just replacing the switch - you'd need to add wiring and a relay, and I'm pretty sure there is may be a limit switch in the motor mechanism (to tell the relay the window is at the bottom - shut off).
That doesn't mean it can't be done - it just isn't trivial.
