lower radiator hose ... what do i need to remove?

I have (almost) all the hoses to redo my cooling system hosery, and i was looking at the car yesterday to decide how hard its going to be to replace them all.
seems to me that the there are a few hoses that connect to the water pump that are going to be pretty hard to reach. namely, one of the heater hoses, and the lower radiator hose.
i figure at best, im going to have to remove the AC compressor, and at worse maybe even the intake manifold, tho i hope not.
can someone who has done this suggest what parts of engine must be gotten out of the way to access these hoses?
Oh, and there is one hose that was not listed on eeuroparts.com ... the one that connects from the outlet from the head to the preheater at the throttlebody. Can i just grab a piece of hose from pep boys, or should one of the sponsors carry this particular hose (like i said, not part of the list on eeuroparts).
thanks again for the help!
dave (92 900s) (but im putting on the pre-retarded heater hose setup)
