Sounds like the bearing. The hubs are one with the bearing, which is pressed on to the rear crossmember, you'll need a puller at any rate. Accelerate to highway speed (55mph or so) put the car in neutral, and shimmy the steering wheel to load and unload the bearings, you should hear changes in the noise if it's a wheel bearing.
