87 900s 4 doors. just got my radio wire harness from Crutchfield. it comes in two pieces. but it does not fit into the saab's harness(in one piece)which plugs onto the back of the saab's clarion amp. according to Crutchfeild's instruction - " need to follow along the length of the factory harness(up to 18 inches from the plastic connector), a 2nd set of plastic connector should be found. unplug these connectors, and the Crutchfeild adaptor will now plug in at this location." i've looked from the bottom and cann't see where the wires go. i traced the wires with my hand and went nowhere. it seems that the 2nd set of wire harness is somewhere deep in the dash. Has anyone installed the new radio this way ? do i need to take out the lower board( which seems impossible to take out, already tried once and failed ), or do i need to take out the instrument panel to get to the 2nd set harness. Any help would be thankful.
