As BobH points out, the '85s suffer from systemic wiring insulation problems that are simply best avoided. As you're talking about an 8v NA car, in a cooler area of the world, you may not have these issues as underhood temperatures are probably not in the extreme. '85 was a solid year - aside from wiring no real problems to point out. Check thoroughly under the hood for any exposed wiring, and if you're not sure what you're looking for have the car taken to a professional for a once over. ScanWest is an excellent place to start - those guys are top-notch.
Personally, unless you're getting a great deal I'd look for a newer car, possibly with a 16v engine. More power, less worries...
