The intermittent dash light on the left side - that's often because of a loose fitting bulb. They're mounted in such a way that they can be removed and installed with a 90 degree twist. I've discovered that the full 90 doesn't always seat itself as tight as possible. Same thing happened with my left side dash light. To fix it, I have it mounted in an 80 degree manner, which sets tightly and hence no light failure. You can do the job by removing the left side front speaker and then looking first through the windscreen to see what to look for, then doing it by feel from the inside. The bulbs are often a blue (I think) color, with a little tab for holding while you twist.
