Temperature(HOT) - UPDATE

I thought it was time somebody sent in a feel-good story regarding advice obtained on this board. Last week I reported my 1989 900-n/a with 118,000 miles ran HOT only on the freeway at higher speeds. THe consensus recommendation was I needed a new radiator. So Friday I decided to replace my radiator with the one I got from Eeuroparts.com for $130.
Old radiator came out fine with only a few snags:
1). Bottom rad. hose clamp was welded on...only grit, determination and vice grips got it off!
2). Fan screws were a bitch to get out but again....perserverance!
With the new rad. in and some fresh fluid after a good flushing the car now runs well below 1/2 on the gauge at 75 MPH on a hot summers day.
Success....thanks to all who contribute here to help us "mechanic wannabes"
P.S. I did encounter another problem while doing this....I had bumped the ground connection below the rad and all the little wires pretty much crumbled off of their crimps! YIKES....luckily my good ole brother-in-law came over to assist(he's a phone man and crimping wires is his game) He got all the grounds back together and now lo and behold....my RT turn signal works, my interior lights are brighter, and my windshield washer fluid is able to be sprayed.....all it cost me was a 12 pack of Miller Lite for him and a 12 of Amstel Light for me! I started at 4pm and we were driving the car around by 8pm(after a dinner break). And the beer was gone by 1am!
