I completely agree with MS, a project like this is a great place to make a start with learning how to turn a wrench on a Classic 900. If I remember correctly, the first thing I learned how to do (using the info off of this board) back in '98 when I bought my first 900 was to replace the tach/speedo dash lights through the speaker grill. After I learned how to do that, I felt great about it, and have been learning how to do my own work ever since. I've now changed the dashboard, entire interior, rear springs, ball joints, radiator, thermostat and fuel pump.. Trust me, it can get addictive, but very rewarding. :o) Good luck!
