Welcome to the beatyful world of cars breaking something completly unrelated to previous repair.
As a professional mechanic it's more than once I have seen it happen.
Take the right speaker grill out (2 Torx 10 screws),from there you can access the top part of blower motor. Use a SMALL hammer and TAP, not BANG on the top of motor housing while running the blower motor at full blast.
This might make the motor work for a little bit longer while you save money for the $550.00 repair.
With that action you get some dirt and dust of the brushes and the commutator.
